Competition

Aside from the leaderboard there are currently no ways in which we influence competition amongst players.

Leaderboard

In the Social Tab there will be a button which players can utilse to display the Leaderboards. Leaderboards themselves will be split down further into Traditional and Wild. The traditional Leaderboard will always shoowcase the top 5 ranked players with the highest amount of Prestige. Meanwhile the Wild Leaderboard will rank players in more specific things that change every week, so that all players will have some time in the spot-light.

List of Wild Leaderboard Criteria that can occur:

Player that has the most Slots for a specific Role (Company with most opprtunities for Blank)

Player that has most Buildings that Employees approve of (Company with the best work-atmosphere)

Player that has the best Eployee in a certain Role (Company with best expertise in Blank)

Additionally when players manage to land within the leaderboard, in 1st 2nd or 3rd position they will gain a reward.

Leaderboard only get updated every week, and the reward can also only be claimed every week.

The Reward will be different for each Category. Traditional Rankings will be rewarded with an employee of varying quality depending on where they landed on the leaderboard. Meanwhile players that scored a spot on the Wild leaderboard will gain a passive effect that influences the stats growth of all their workers.

1st place: 10% increase

2nd place: 7.5% increase

3rd place: 5% increase

The LeaderBoards will not update live, instead only updating at the beginning of each week. Naturaly rewards can only be claimed throughout that week the player has been placed in the top 3. If the player does not claim their reward within the week, they loose their chance to gain it at all.

Design Thoughts

The Wild Rankings serve to give players that aren't on the traditional leader board a time to shine. The reward of better skill-growth is generally more powerful than a new employee and is to give them the chance to also become better in the traditional Leaderboard. Seeing as the exact nature of the Wild leaderboard changes each week, players will have a reason to alway check to see if perhaps they scored high in a field they didn't even know excelled at. Perhaps it will also motivate players to specialise a bit more.
